Eurojackpot Information

First played on Friday 23rd March 2012, Eurojackpot is a European lottery which is played in 19 countries, with Greece joining in March 2024. The participating nations are Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden.

The jackpot starts at €10 million and can roll over and increase in value up to a cap of €120 million. The goal is to match five numbers from 1 to 50 plus another two supplementary numbers, known as Euro numbers, from 1 to 12. Draw takes place every Friday at 21.00 EET in Helsinki, Finland.

The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 139,838,160, but the chances of winning any prize are 1 in 32 and there are a total of 12 prize tiers, so players can win cash rewards just by matching two main numbers and one Euro number.

The record for the largest prize ever won on Eurojackpot is €120 million – the maximum possible jackpot – and has been reached on a number of occasions. A Norwegian woman managed to match all five main numbers and both Euro numbers at the jackpot cap and she did so in January 2024.
